the raffish accepts submissions of original material in the form of written work such as short stories, essays, poetry, letters, articles and interviews, as well as visual art in the form of illustrations, photo essays, graphic narratives and more to be considered for inclusion in our print and digital publications.
Submissions should be aligned in some way with our intention of chronicling the diverse human experience.
Selected submissions incorporate singular and exceptional content, ideas, and style.
Accepted submissions have preferably not been published elsewhere; however, we will consider previously published work on a case-by-case basis.
You must be the owner and originator of the material you submit.
All contributors retain copyright to their original material.
There is currently no word limit for submissions.
Response time for submissions is generally within 90 days. If you haven’t received a response to your submission within this time, feel free to follow up with us.
If your submission has been selected for inclusion elsewhere, or if you would like to withdraw your submission for any reason, please notify us as soon as possible.
Selected submissions are subject to edits. Edits are done with great respect for the piece and each contributor’s unique voice.
Selected submissions are presently unpaid. While we hope to offer compensation for selected submissions in the near future, we’re presently offering contributors exposure to an international audience in a distinctive publication, as well as other opportunities and connections within our community.
